Quotes & Jokes is a website and a blog intended to help to improve the knowledge of English among Spanish speaking librarians, information scientists and “documentalists”. The authors post library-related quotes (or jokes) in English on a weekly basis, with comments on the text. Our aim is to offer Spanish-speaking information professionals a painless (and hopefully enjoyable) way to test their English skills and renew vocabulary related to the field of librarianship. Likewise, it might be helpful for English-speaking professionals to practice their Spanish. At the very least, it provides a work-related excuse for brushing up on English while at the office on Friday afternoons!
